Cash
Cash portfolios seek maximum total return, consistent with the preservation of capital. Some portfolios invest exclusively in the highest level of safety and only purchase U.S. Government obligations to meet this objective. Other strategies include commercial paper and other money market securities in addition to U.S. Government obligations to safely enhance income. The portfolios represent an allocation to readily available cash with little price sensitivity.
Enhanced Cash
Enhanced cash portfolios seek maximum total return, consistent with the preservation of capital. The portfolios invest in corporate debt securities, mortgage related and asset-backed securities, and U.S. Government obligations to meet this objective. The portfolios represent an allocation to the ultra short-term U.S. dollar denominated bond market with greater income and slightly higher price volatility than money market instruments. The primary index for the portfolios is a blend of the Lehman Government/Credit 1-3 year and the three-month T-Bill.
